About KoKunstRee.nl

After my internship at Simac, talk about my skills leaked, and I got into contact with Ko van de Ree, an artist and writer from Nuenen, the Netherlands. He was in desperate need of a website, but had no idea how to make one. After discussing his ideas and goals I offered to help him out, and made this website.

The main goal of the website is to display all his paintings, statues and drawings, and to show a small collection of poetry, quotes from books or other writings. Next to that there are pages offering information about the artist and about running or past expositions. I've also built in a small search function so you can find the artwork you're looking for in a couple of seconds.

Easy Maintenance Adjustments

Because the owner of the site is not your average computer geek, I had to do things differently. To start, I used the (close to perfect) admin section I've developed—a simple straight forward Content Management System, featured in almost all of my websites—which is easy to use, and tried to make it even more logical. I also added warnings for when you hit 'delete' or 'reset'.

And to make it all complete; I made a manual. This twelve page counting document explains the structure of the website, the structure and use of the admin section, and other useful information.
